As a first post to interest everyone who has not heard of the Club of Independent Filmmakers, I would like to show a short film directed by Evan Bernard.
This is a great example for the kind of movies that Film Club should be making. It's short, funny and very simple. The basic concept can be explained in one sentence. The writer took the idea of "What if handshakes were really long and complex?" and made something unique and interesting.
Of course, Evan Bernard is a famous director, so he had the equipment, crew, and money to help him along the way. But even so, CIF can easily make movies that are just as good, if not better. All it takes is planning, one day of shooting, a little editing, and a two minute short comes to life.
